Rossano, Lamezia terme and Crotone become a free zone.
You select 22 “free zones urbaneâ” in 11 Regions. Incentives and facilities for small-scale enterprises. The selected Calabrian cities are quite three: Rossano, Lamezia terme and Crotone.
Ventidue “urban free zones” inside big, middle and little cities in 11 Regions will have right to incentives and fiscal and social security facilities, for a number equal to 50 millions the year, for new economic, above all little activities and micro-enterprises constituted within 2009. There is this the result of the selection realised by the Department Politics of Development of the Ministry of the economic Development.
“With the start of the urban free zones – has declared Minister Claudio Scajola – we give a significant answer to the socioeconomic uneasiness of the areas to greater percentage of unemployment. The incentives and the facilities foreseen by the free zones already tried with success in France and you authorise the European Union, they will assert the creation of new entrepreneurship and they are part of the new normative tools to throw the intervention again in the Midday and in other weak areas of the Country. We are already working to extend this measure also over 2009 ″.
22 “urban free zones”, selected between 64 proposals based on a series of indicators of socioeconomic uneasiness of a technical Group of experts of the Department, are the next ones: Catania, It Freezes, Erice in Sicily; Crotone, Rossano and Lamezia Terme in Calabria; Matera in Basilicata; Taranto, Lecce and Andria in Puglia; Naples, Announced Tower and Mondragone in Campania; Campobasso in Molise; Cagliari, Quartu Sant' Elena and Iglesias in Sardinia; Velletri and Sora in Lazio; Pescara in Abruzzo; Mass Carrara in Tuskany and Ventimiglia in Liguria.
The measure on the free zones will be subjected now to the evaluation of the Cipe and subsequently it will be notified to the European Commission. It is foreseen that the incentives and the facilities will be able to be concretely supplied within next Spring.
